Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This privacy policy explains which personal data Simplexity GmbH processes when you visit our website or contact us, why we do so, and which rights you have. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, this policy also covers its requirements.
1. Who is responsible
Simplexity GmbH
Schärenmoosstrasse 78
8052 Zürich
Switzerland
For any questions about data protection or to exercise your rights, please contact us via the contact form or by post at the address above.
2. Visiting our website
Our website is hosted by Swizzonic AG, Badenerstrasse 47, 8004 Zürich, Switzerland. When you visit our website, the hosting provider automatically records technical information in server log files. This includes your IP address, the date and time of access, the page requested, the referring page and the browser and operating system you use.
We need this information to deliver the website, keep it secure and analyse errors. It is not combined with other data and is deleted after a short period, unless it is needed to investigate a security incident. (Legal basis under the GDPR: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f).)
We do not use analytics or tracking tools, and we do not create user profiles.
3. Contact form
If you contact us via our contact form, we process the data you enter: your name, e-mail address, mobile number (optional), subject and message. The form is sent to us by e-mail. For e-mail we use Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, Dublin, Ireland, and Microsoft Corporation, Redmond, USA).
We use this data only to answer your request and, where applicable, to prepare and carry out a collaboration. We do not use it for advertising and do not pass it on to third parties for their own purposes. We keep your request as long as needed for our correspondence and as required by statutory retention periods. (Legal basis under the GDPR: steps prior to entering into a contract, Art. 6(1)(b), and legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f).)
4. Spam protection with Google reCAPTCHA
To protect our contact form against spam and automated misuse, we use the reCAPTCHA service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, and Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
reCAPTCHA analyses how visitors interact with the website, for example the IP address, browser information, time spent on the page and mouse movements, in order to distinguish humans from bots. For this purpose, reCAPTCHA may set cookies and transmits data to Google, including to servers in the USA. (Legal basis under the GDPR: legitimate interest in protecting our website, Art. 6(1)(f).)
Google LLC is certified under the Swiss-U.S. and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. For more information, please see Google’s privacy policy.
5. Cookies
Our website itself does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Only the reCAPTCHA service described above may set cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the contact form may then no longer work.
6. Links to other websites
Our website contains links to external websites, for example LinkedIn, GitHub or the websites of course organisers. Data is only transferred to these providers when you click on a link. Their own privacy policies apply from then on.
7. Disclosure and transfer abroad
We only disclose personal data to service providers who help us run this website and our communication, in particular our hosting provider Swizzonic AG (Switzerland) and our e-mail provider Microsoft 365. They process the data on our behalf and only according to our instructions. We do not sell personal data.
Data may be transferred to the USA in connection with Google reCAPTCHA (see section 4) and Microsoft 365 (see section 3). Google LLC and Microsoft Corporation are certified under the Swiss-U.S. and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; transfers take place on this basis or on the basis of other appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
8. Your rights
Under the applicable data protection law, you have the right to:
- request information about the personal data we hold about you
- have incorrect data corrected
- have your data deleted, unless we are legally required to keep it
- object to the processing of your data
- receive your data in a common electronic format (data portability)
If the GDPR applies, you also have the right to restrict processing and to withdraw any consent you have given, with effect for the future.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. In Switzerland, this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, www.edoeb.admin.ch). Visitors from the EU can contact the supervisory authority in their country of residence.
9. Data security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Our website is transmitted using encrypted connections (HTTPS).
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The version published on this website applies.
